Job summary

SEIU Local 2015 is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support the reliability, security, and ongoing development of its statewide technology infrastructure. The role involves administering servers, network systems, cloud services, VoIP, and collaboration platforms while ensuring access for staff, members, and programs.

Qualifications

  • Four to seven years of progressively responsible experience administering enterprise systems, servers, networks, and technology infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Exchange, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience administering network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, internet connectivity).
  • Experience supporting telecommunications, VoIP, mobile devices, and collaboration platforms.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, backup, disaster recovery, and access controls.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to document configurations, processes, and issue resolutions; communicate to varied audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

This position serves as a technical expert and escalation resource, helping ensure that staff, members, leaders, and organizational programs have consistent and secure access to the technology needed to advance the union’s mission.Working closely with the IT Coordinator and other technology staff, the Systems Administrator supports infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, end-user service delivery, and technology modernization. The position also contributes to technical research, systems planning, implementation, documentation, and the ongoing improvement of technology services across SEIU Local 2015.The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.Key
