Job summary

RWD Consulting, LLC seeks a System Administrator at Fort Detrick to maintain, configure, and operate government IT systems and servers. The role involves installing hardware/software, managing user accounts, and addressing outages.

Some scripting is expected to streamline workflows, and user training is included. Applicants must have six years in a System Administrator role and hold Secret Clearance meeting DoD 8570 requirements.

Job description

Location: Fort Detrick

System Administrator

The contractor shall provide Systems Administration support in the maintenance, configuration, and operation of government systems and servers. The contractor shall install new hardware and software; create and manage user accounts; maintain computer systems such as servers; and properly respond to system outages and other various problems. Additional responsibilities include light de-bug or scripting to make the system workflows easier, and training computer users and assistants. The contractor shall resolve problems and issues with the computer and server systems to limit disruptions. The contractor may be called to participate in research and development to improve and to meet the evolving needs of the customer. Systems and servers to be supported will be determined based on the needs of NMRLC-DET. Contractor tasks may also include monitoring actions, such as installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess minimum of six (6) years in a System Administrator role.
• Must possess Secret Clearance and must meet DoD 8570 requirements.

Compensation Range: $85,000-$95,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
