Job summary

Nisga'a Tek, LLC seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to ensure stable operation of in-house software and network connections. The role includes planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing network software and communications across locations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, DoD 8570 Baseline Certification, SECRET clearance, and at least 10 years of specialized experience with hands-on exposure to servers and domain administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 8570/8140: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT II or IAT III.
• Ten years specialized experience in information processing with diverse hardware/software solutions.
• At least four years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems.
• Analyze and resolve end user software and connectivity issues.
• Conduct capacity and performance analysis and recommend system changes.
• Increase administrator efficiency with automation and scripts; develop procedures and training.
• Provide end user training and advise on technology direction.
• Support multiple locations with local and remote maintenance, upgrades and new installs.
• Direct the work of other system administrators for day-to-day operations.
• Apply advanced knowledge of application networking and load balancing; ensure fault tolerance.
• Perform vulnerability management.

Summary:

The Senior Systems Administrator ensures stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems.
• Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues.
• Conducts capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
• Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment.
• Provides end user training.
• Provides recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision.
• Provides local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location.
• Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications.
• Directs the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
• Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance.
• Performs vulnerability management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Certification: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
• Ten (10) years specialized experience (Specialized experience is defined as progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, where the majority are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions.
• At least four years of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software).
• 8570/8140: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT II or IAT III
• Computing Environment: Server Admin M and Domain Admin Z (Cloud or Microsoft Operating System per DLA Approved CE).
• SECRET Clearance

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually.
