Job Description: System Administrator
Join our team as a System Administrator, where you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, supporting our team, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identity & Access Management: Own and improve our Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and provisioning processes. Manage and evolve our Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems to meet security and compliance needs. Collaborate on IT policy development and CISM-related practices.
- Infrastructure & Networking: Manage office network equipment including switches, firewalls, access points, and physical wiring to ensure stable and secure connectivity. Ensure network performance, access control, and device health are optimal. Implement and maintain local servers and cloud-based infrastructure to meet operational and scalability needs.
- User Support & Systems Operations: Provide escalation-level support and technical oversight for Mac and Windows environments, partnering with a junior support technician. Own the tooling, process design, and standards for IT support operations. Diagnose and resolve high-priority or complex issues. Maintain and optimize onboarding/offboarding workflows, including hardware, licensing, and access management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration or related roles.
- Experience managing teams.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science/Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (highly preferred).
- Experience working at a tech startup or digital product company is ideal.
- Proficiency with both Apple and Windows operating systems.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time position at the mid-senior level, based in Chicago, IL. The salary range is approximately $120,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
