We are seeking a System Administrator to support enterprise desktop infrastructure, endpoint management, and systems administration initiatives. This role will focus heavily on SCCM administration, desktop imaging, Active Directory, and Group Policy, with additional exposure to Intune and endpoint management.
This is a 1-year contract opportunity based in Texas, with preference for candidates located in or near Austin. The role follows a hybrid schedule (remote and onsite).
Key Responsibilities
Systems & Application Support (Primary Focus – ~70%)
- Administer and support Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
- Create, manage, and maintain desktop images and task sequences
- Package and deploy applications using SCCM
- Support and administer Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated desktop and endpoint issues
- Monitor trends and updates related to Microsoft operating systems
Mobile Device & Endpoint Management (~20%)
- Maintain hardware inventory including laptops, desktops, iPhones, iPads, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across endpoint devices
- Escalate and track critical incidents as needed
Project & Operational Support (~10%)
- Participate in IT projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Assist with hardware/software rollouts and implementations
- Provide documentation and status updates for leadership
- Perform related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of desktop/client systems support experience
- 3+ years of hands-on SCCM administration experience
- Experience with:
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Group Policy (GPO)
- PowerShell scripting
- Strong troubleshooting experience in Windows enterprise environments
- Experience supporting PC hardware and software in a business setting
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL v3 training or certification
- Experience with BitLocker encryption
- Experience with VMware View
- Microsoft operating system certifications
- Experience assembling, installing, and repairing PC hardware
- Exposure to project documentation and implementation support
