Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Systems Administrator to support its Quantico, VA office. The role focuses on administering enterprise systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, and patch management. You will develop Splunk dashboards and support USMC web applications.

The position requires US citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and on-site work at MCB Quantico. A DoD 8140 or Security+ CE certification within 90 days is required or pursued after

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant systems administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering/Cybersecurity or equivalent.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, virtualization, storage, backups.
• DoD 8140 certification (or CompTIA Security+ CE) within 90 days of employment.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain Secret clearance and on-site work at Quantico.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting enterprise network, server, virtualization, storage, firewall, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support Windows Server and Desktop infrastructure and associated enterprise services.
• Develop and implement Splunk dashboards.
• Oversee the nightly backup process including media swaps at the data center.
• Manage the patch download and deployment for the Microsoft components using WSUS.
• Provide end user support for USMC web application including troubleshooting issues in a multi-tier web application, user provisioning, and answering general questions.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle planning, cybersecurity requirements, and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain and contribute to technical documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and annual system documentation reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience systems administration, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent education, certifications, and experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, enterprise storage, backup/recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Strong cross-platform troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently research, diagnose, and resolve complex technical problems.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity hardening principles and secure enterprise environments.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must possess DoD 8140 certification, (CompTIA Security+ CE) or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to work on-site at MCB Quantico.

Salary Range: $85,000 - 135,000
