Job summary

Clarity Performance Solutions, located in Overland Park, KS, seeks a System Administrator for a hybrid role requiring in-office presence at least 3 days a week within 20 miles. The role involves end-user support, hardware/software/network troubleshooting, and maintaining security and connectivity across systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in IT support or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
  • Confidentiality and handling sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
  • Responds to telephone calls, email, and requests for technical support.
  • Provide support to users relating to both hardware, software, network, internet, and remote system connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and perform testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, data communication, and computer network systems.
  • Assemble, install, configure, and evaluate computer equipment.
  • Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates, and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
  • Completes work orders such as installing equipment, connecting, and moving devices or creating components of networks, etc.
  • Develop and maintain software and hardware inventory and tracking systems; develop inventory lists and order, stock, and store electronic components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance for computer, data communication, and peripheral equipment; test and adjust to appropriate standards.
  • Coordinate departmental purchases of application software and provide license tracking on all centrally purchased packages such as office suites.
  • Managing and maintaining local and cloud-based file storage.
  • Monitoring the network for security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Performs other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.

About The Role:

Title:System Administrator

Reports to: Chief Information Officer

Location: Hybrid, minimum 3 days a week in office, must be within 20 miles of Overland Park, KS

Status: Exempt, Full Time

Compensation: Annual salary based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Keep current with the latest technology and securitystandards.
  • Confers with users and IT personnel to develop innovative approaches or alternatives to ensure that user assistance is being provided effectively and efficiently.
Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the field or a related field.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Read and comprehend instructions, discussion, correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
  • Ability to read and analyze technical information to determine the usefulness of hardware and software.
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to take the initiative in development and completion of work projects.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, prioritization, and ability to multi-task.
  • Initiative-taking, driven and resilient to meet and exceed targets and objectives.

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools and to manage other computer components.
  • Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
  • Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects (40 lbs.), such as computers and peripherals.
  • Walking, bending, and reaching intermittently.
