Job summary

AeroVironment (AVAV) is seeking a seasoned System Administrator to manage and support mission-critical IT infrastructure across Windows and UNIX platforms. The role covers day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include Tier I/II IT support, virtualization planning, and security-focused patching in coordination with hardware vendors. A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of system administration experience.
  • Strong RedHat Linux and Windows (2012/2016/2019) troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Nessus, POA&Ms, and STE/STN initiatives.
  • Experience configuring UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Job Summary

The primary role of the System Administrator is to manage and support mission-critical IT infrastructure. You’ll work directly with both hardware and software systems in a dynamic, multi-platform environment.

Position Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computuer Engineering, or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, and experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of system administration experience
  • Strong RedHat Linux and Windows (2012/2016/2019) troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Nessus, POA&Ms, and STE/STN initiatives.
  • Experience configuring UNIX and Windows environments.
  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Other Qualification & Desired Competencies
  • Experience with virtual environments and system capacity planning.
Salary Range

$150,000 - $175,000
