Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to apply systems engineering across all lifecycle phases, from concept to retirement.

You will interact with Government stakeholders, program personnel, and executives to address technical considerations and resolve issues. Responsibilities include automating infrastructure, designing scalable secure solutions, and guiding CI/CD integration with existing pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field
• Minimum 8 years in a systems engineering role
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS)
• Experience with cloud platforms
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph

Responsibilities

Summary

The Sr. Systems Engineer applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Key responsibilities will include interacting with the Government, regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts and regularly communicating with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum of 8 years experience in a systems engineering role
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes or ECS).
• Experience with cloud platforms
• An active TS/SCI with polygraph

Salary Range: $125,000 - $220,000

The AV pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
