Job summary

Kavaliro is seeking a System Administrator to support a client in Laurel, Maryland onsite. The role requires hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Horizon VDI, and HP devices, plus strong Atlassian tools administration.

You will help maintain secure, scalable enterprise environments across multiple sites. The candidate must hold an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance and be willing to work onsite in Laurel, MD.

Qualifications

• Experience with VMware vSphere and Horizon VDI environments.
• Support for geographically dispersed, multi-site enterprise.
• Experience creating Windows golden images and managing App Volumes.
• Proficient with HP thin clients and HPDM tooling.
• Experience with VMware App Volumes and App delivery.
• Knowledge of PKI certificates and keys.
• Familiar with Atlassian Data Center stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible, Crowd, Insight/Assets).
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical plans and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer VMware vSphere, Horizon VDI, and related components.
• Manage multi-site deployments and capacity planning for distributed enterprise.
• Create and maintain Windows golden images and app delivery pipelines.
• Support HP devices with HPDM and monitor health and security of systems.
• Administer Atlassian tools and plugins to support developer workflows.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience with VMware vSphere (vCenter and ESXi) experience
• support multi-site environments
• Demonstrated experience with VMware Horizon VDI experience supporting a
• geographically disperse enterprise with a mix of persistent and instant clone
• desktops
• Demonstrated experience in creating Microsoft Windows golden images
• Demonstrated experience with HP thin clients and HP Device Manager (HPDM)
• Demonstrated experience VMware App Volume experience to include application
• capturing and trouble shooting
• Demonstrated experience with VMware Unified Access Gateway
• Demonstrated experience in capacity planning for geographically distributed

• Demonstrated experience in converting customer requirements into a technical plan
• Demonstrated experience with the full life cycle of system development

• Demonstrated experience with understanding features and administrative responsibilities for maintaining the health, scalability, manageability, and security for the Atlassian applications and plugins using Data Center
