# System Admin I (High Performance Computing)UtahFull-TimeClearance: TS/SCI with PolygraphHPCSystem AdministrationHPCDescription / General DutiesAs a System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. US citizenship is required.Responsibilities* —Configure, maintain, and advance Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance* —Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems* —Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems* —Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems* —Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems* —Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems* —Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.* —Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers* —Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planningRequired Experience* —Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, operating system and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install* —Understanding of HPC architecture, knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot* —Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible* —Proven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and there's no \"one fix\" for a particular problemEducation / Experience Level* —Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline* —Minimum three (3) years of demonstratable system administration experience or eight (8) years minimum experience in lieu of degree* —DoD 8570 IAT II level certificationCompensationThe Knonix pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
