Job summary

Vibrint is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support a High Performance Computing program on a TS/SCI with poly cleared team. The role focuses on configuring and maintaining Linux/Unix systems, HPC clusters, and multi-vendor HPC servers within a high-security environment.

You will work with a skilled cohort to advance HPC capabilities, optimize performance, and ensure secure IT operations while supporting mission-critical analysis and national security outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, OS and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install.
  • Understanding of HPC architecture, knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and there's no "one fix" for a particular problem.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years of demonstrable system administration experience or ten (10) years minimum experience in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices
  • Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning

As a Linux System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure, maintain, and advance Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
