Job summary

Aurex in Huntsville, AL is seeking an early career Systems Modeling & Simulation Engineer to apply MBSE and SysML to define architectures and support prototype flight hardware. You will collaborate with GNC, avionics, software, electrical, mechanical and test teams to build models that inform engineering decisions and hardware development.

The role emphasizes hands-on modeling over documentation, with responsibility for traceability, verification and interface management across the system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline as listed.
• 3+ years of relevant aerospace/defense/complex engineered systems experience.
• Practical experience using SysML and MBSE concepts.
• Experience with SysML tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, CATIA, EA, or Rhapsody.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SysML system models for architecture, requirements, behaviors, interfaces and verification relationships.
• Apply MBSE throughout the engineering lifecycle from concept to flight demonstration.
• Translate concepts and requirements into logical and physical architectures.
• Create block definition diagrams, internal block diagrams, activity diagrams and state machines.
• Establish and maintain traceability between requirements, models, test cases and verification evidence.
• Integrate SysML models with analytical/executable models in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, Modelica or similar tools.
• Define and manage subsystem interfaces including data, electrical, mechanical, software and functional interfaces.
• Support simulation architectures for missile and high-performance flight vehicles.
