Job summary

Ashley Sling, a division of American Equipment Holdings, seeks a Synthetics Fabricator to produce world‑wide lifting and rigging assemblies. You’ll learn to identify diameters, constructions, and applications for slings, wire ropes, hoists, and gear, collaborating with experienced staff to uphold proven quality.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, fabricating parts, inspecting finished products, maintaining equipment, and managing inventory with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fabricating and distributing lifting and rigging equipment.
• Expertise in slings, wire rope, rigging hardware, and hoists.
• Strong understanding of lifting materials and their properties.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Ability to operate fabricating equipment safely.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble lifting and rigging products.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabricating equipment and tools.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
• Review drawings and capacity tables.
• Understand and apply order tickets' codes and specs.
• Calculate wire rope cut lengths and fittings.
• Splice wire rope and fabricate chain slings.
• Operate swaging machines, proof testers, and forklifts (training provided).
• Tag and label products.
• Report defective materials or substandard supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety guidelines.
