Citi Japan invites a talented professional to own syndicated loan agency operations while contributing to all Loan Operations tasks such as deal booking, journal entries, and general ledger management. You will collaborate with internal teams and external lenders, driving accuracy and efficiency across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

More than 4 years of experience at a financial institution with knowledge of loan processes (deal booking, GL/JE principles, reconciliation, and cash settlement).
Ability to manage, prepare, and review loan documents (credit agreements, facility letters, agent notices).
Strong compliance mindset for laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Native-level Japanese and business English for cross-border engagement.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end syndicated loan agency operations, including drawdown processing, rollover, repayment, and fee settlement.
Coordinate agent bank functions: notices, interest rate resets, lender allocations, and fee distributions.
Serve as primary liaison between Loan Agency team, internal stakeholders, and external lenders/ borrowers.
Process deal bookings, cash transactions, and position updates in LoanIQ and other systems.
