PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide appropriate learning experiences and educational opportunities for each student assigned to the class.

REPORTS TO: Principal

SALARY SCHEDULE: Teacher

WORK DAYS: 190

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Preferred: Advanced degree(s).
2. Experience, Skill and Certification: Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field Elementary Education P-5 or Birth to Kindergarten.

Virtual Duties and Responsibilities

3. Participate in professional learning to enhance ability to provide engaging online instruction
4. Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner

General Duties and Responsibilities

1. Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
1. Follows professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, students’ records, parents, and colleagues
1. Interacts in a professional manner with students and parents
2. Is available to students and parents for conferences according to district policies
3. Facilitates home-school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communications
4. Maintains confidentiality of students and students’ records
5. Works cooperatively with school administrators, special support personnel, colleagues, and parents

1. Conducts assigned classes at the times scheduled

4. Performs other duties as required by the district, the school, or student need.

Terms of Employment: Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.
