Job summary

Randstad USA is assisting a leading manufacturer near New Berlin, WI in recruiting a Switchgear Design Engineer to design, validate, and bring transfer switch products to market. This direct hire opportunity includes relocation assistance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least five years of design experience, with proficiency in mechanism and switchgear design, and strong 3D modeling in Pro/E, CREO or SolidWorks.

Switchgear Design Engineer for a leading manufacturer based near New Berlin, WI. Responsible to design, validate, and bring new transfer switch products to market.

Responsibilities

• Designs, validates, and brings new transfer switch products
• Supports transfer switch products from concept through mass production
• Specifies precise new product functional requirements
• Designs, tests and integrates a variety of increasingly complex components to produce final designs
• Utilizes CAD or CAE systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings
• Optimize increasingly complex designs for manufacturability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• Must have at least five (5) years of design engineering experience
• Experience in mechanism design
• Experience in switchgear design
• 3D modeling expericne (Pro/E, CREO or SolidWorks)
