Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. in Georgia is seeking an Assembly Lead to guide one or more teams in production. You will assign daily tasks, monitor progress and ensure policy compliance and safety.

You'll work with management to improve production processes, recruit and train staff, and maintain quality standards while keeping workflows efficient and cost-effective.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience as a shop lead or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read industrial drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working in a safe ISO 9001 certified environment.
  • Two or more years of experience in UL and NEC codes.
  • US work authorization without sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs+ and stand for four hours.
  • Alignment with company core values.
  • Three or more years of experience as a shop supervisor or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Two plus years of experience in the electrical industry preferred.
  • Three or more years of UL and NEC codes preferred.
  • Experience working in ISO 9001 certified environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes workflow.
  • Plans, monitors, and appraises results; coaches and disciplines employees.
  • Recruits, selects, onboards, trains, and mentors employees.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring processes, equipment, and personnel; identifies improvements.
  • Schedules and assigns personnel to complete production plans; reports results.
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing production standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by arranging repairs and evaluating techniques.
  • Compiles production performance data and responds to requests.
  • Creates systems and procedures; implements changes to improve efficiency.
  • Researches new processes to reduce costs.
  • Maintains safe, clean work environment and compliance with policies.
  • Maintains relationships with union members per collective bargaining agreement.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data and identifying solutions.

Job Summary:

The Assembly Leadposition involves leading one or more teams in the execution of the production/manufacturing processes. The primary responsibility of the ProductionLeadis to ensure the assigned work is completedin a timely manner; this includes assigning and explaining daily tasks to associates; monitoring work progress and compliance with policies and procedures; training andassistingassociates. The productionLeadwill work withthe Managementto improve processes in the production/manufacturing areas.

Job Duties:
  • Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes and monitorsworkflow.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; andinitiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Recruits, selects, onboards, trains, and mentors’ employees.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting processing variables,observingcontrol points and equipment, monitoringpersonneland resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems,facilitatingcorrections to malfunctions within process control points, andinitiatingand fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel,accomplishingwork results,establishingpriorities,monitoringprogress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service byestablishingand enforcing production standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling,initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records anddata, andanswering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementing change.
  • Research new processes and efficiencies to reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Maintains asafe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, andmaintainingcompliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains workingrelationshipswith union members and representatives by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues,identifyingsolutions, and recommending action.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and content, benchmarkingstate-of-the-artpractices, andparticipatingin professional societies.
