Switchboard Application Engineer - Clean Orders are the primary technical resource working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate. The Clean Order Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction. The Clean Order Engineer will complete order entry technical reviews on switchboards and ensure we are building the best solution for the customer while meeting code and our internal design guidance. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, possess strong communication and teamwork skills, and have experience with the switchboard product.

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

1. Review/coordinate/verify switchboard and panelboard configurations from suppliers, sales, and contractors.
2. Review and approve component configurations utilized within projects.
3. Provide technical support in addressing order issues.
4. Learn and apply technical solutions for sales/customer while complying with applicable building and manufacturing codes.
5. Resolve order conflicts within team guidelines and goals.
6. Document communications per our Quality/IMS systems.
7. Improve procedures/processes used in project execution.
8. Manage multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently and be flexible to shift priorities as required.
9. Be attentive to details and provide quality output meeting customer requirements.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
2. 4 plus years’ experience within LV distribution or circuit protection field.
3. Experience with application of electrical distribution products and systems.
4. Knowledge and experience with evaluating complex single line diagrams (SLD), relay PLC schemes, communication network diagrams (media & protocols).
5. Strong technical aptitude and analysis - ability to interpret technical product specifications and applications.
6. Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL and NEMA standards for LV Switchboard.
7. Possess basic level of technical knowledge with the application of electrical distribution products and systems.
8. Proficient in both written and spoken English.
9. Experience with MS-Office applications.
10. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. BS Mechanical Engineering Degree.
2. Team player and demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks while maintaining excellent customer service.
3. Excellent communications skills to communicate with internal and external customers effectively and accurately.

The pay range for this position is $100,450 - $172,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
