Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division in Greenwood, South Carolina is hiring a Switch Assembler for the 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) with an hourly rate of $20.00. You will perform assembly operations within the department, follow standard work, and load materials to build switch line products according to customer orders.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and reside within 50 miles of Greenwood; one year of manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine set-ups for various switch configurations and properly operate all machines within department to ensure quality product.
• Check specifications and required drawings for proper assembly and ensure compliance to Quality procedures.
• Follow standard work, move and load materials needed to build switches.
• Transition to various workstations and help others as needed to meet department productivity goals.
• Work safely to prevent work injuries by following standard safety procedures.

Must work closely with other team members and Group Leader to maintain work efficiency. Must be flexible in the performing various job functions.
