Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd in Indianapolis is seeking a CNC Machinist experienced with Swiss-style turning and multi-task turning centers. This direct-hire role operates on the day shift, with standard hours and potential flexibility on start/end times.

You will build and refine CNC programs, handle setup, tooling, and offsets, and work under strict safety and quality programs. A two-year machining-related degree is a plus, with ERP and CAM software experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2+ years setting up and programming Swiss-style turning equipment.
• Proficient with CNC programming and CAM software.
• Able to read prints, CAD data, and GD&T callouts.
• Experience with CAM packages: Esprit, Fusion, Mastercam, CAMWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs using CAM software.
• Set up machines, tooling, and workholding; run programs.
• Diagnose and address tooling, program, and setup issues.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep equipment running.
• Operate safely around cutting tools and coolant.
• Identify process improvements to reduce waste.
• Communicate status and issues to supervisors.
