Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate Swiss-style turning centers and multi-task turning equipment for a precision manufacturing environment serving aerospace, medical, and firearms sectors.

You will program and run CAM-based NC programs, set up tooling, inspect against CAD prints, and collaborate with maintenance to resolve issues while upholding safety standards. This direct-hire role is on day shift.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and programming Swiss-style turning equipment.
• Proficient with CAM packages such as Esprit, Fusion, Mastercam or CAMWorks.
• Able to read part prints, CAD files and GD&T callouts.
• Two-year machining degree is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine CNC programs using CAM software.
• Handle machine setup start to finish: tooling, workholding, stock loading, offsets.
• Diagnose issues and coordinate with maintenance for bigger problems.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Maintain safety standards around cutting tools and coolant.
• Look for process improvements to reduce waste.
