Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate Swiss-style and multi-task turning centers. This direct-hire role is on day shift, with early start and end times and a growing, precision manufacturing environment.

You will build and refine CNC programs, set up tooling and workholding, load stock, and dial in programs. Expect to work with CAM software and CAD data, while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • A couple of years or more setting up and programming Swiss-style turning equipment.
  • Comfortable with a computer, including ERP systems and standard office software.
  • Hands-on experience with CAM packages such as Esprit, Fusion, Mastercam, or CAMWorks.
  • Some background in 3D modeling.
  • Solid grasp of G-code and tooling on Citizen-style Swiss lathes and/or Miyano turn-mill equipment.
  • Able to read and work from part prints, CAD files, GD&T callouts, and process documentation.
  • Experience working under formal quality and safety programs.
  • A two-year degree in machining or a related field is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose floor issues, worn tooling, program glitches, setup problems, minor mechanical hiccups, and loop in maintenance for anything bigger.
  • Stay on top of routine upkeep and preventive maintenance to keep equipment running.
  • Work safely around cutting tools, coolant, and heavy stock.
  • Look for ways to tighten up the process and cut down on waste.
  • Keep supervisors informed on job status, issues, and output.

CNC Machinist — Swiss-Style & Multi-Task Turning

Direct Hire|Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (flexible start/end)

A well-established precision manufacturer supplying the aerospace, medical device, and firearms sectors is hiring a CNC Machinist to run Swiss-style and multi-task turning centers. This direct-hire opening sits with a financially stable, growing operation looking to add a skilled hand to its machining floor.

What You'll Do
  • Build and refine CNC programs using CAM software
  • Handle machine setup start to finish: selecting and installing tooling and workholding, loading stock, and dialing in programs and offsets

Good to Know
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to work for a federally licensed firearms manufacturer (07/FFL)
  • Role keeps you on your feet for most of the shift, expect to be up and moving roughly 80% of the time
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Safety glasses and hearing protection required on the floor
