Job summary

Precera Medical in Minnesota is seeking a skilled Machinist to plan materials, set up and operate mills/turns/grinders, and inspect precision parts per blueprints. You will document data, participate in assemblies, and maintain 5S-friendly shop conditions. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

The role requires 2–6 years of related experience, proficiency with tooling, and ERP familiarity. A related machine trades certificate is preferred, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years relevant machining experience.
• Experience with milling, turning or grinding.
• Experience setting up and operating machine tools.
• Intermediate ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in machinist hand tools and measuring tools.
• Proficient PC skills in Windows environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan materials and operation sequences for each job.
• Set up machines with appropriate feeds, speeds, stops, clamps and tooling.
• Operate machines to produce precision parts per customer specifications.
• Inspect completed parts and address non-conformities.
• Document job data and enter into ERP system.
• Fit and assemble parts into complete assemblies when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, 5S-compliant work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
