Job summary

Viant Medical Inc. is seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Machinist for 1st or 3rd shift in Wheeling, IL. You will set up, operate, and maintain Swiss-style CNC machines to manufacture precision components per engineering drawings, while upholding quality and efficiency.

The role requires 2+ years in machine shop work with Swiss CNC experience, reading blueprints, and working to close tolerances. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k match, paid time off, and a defined career path.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years machine shop experience including Swiss CNC experience (2 years minimum) REQUIRED
• Ability to read blueprints and work with small precision parts to close tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines according to job specifications.
• Load raw materials and verify tooling alignment and offsets.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Make necessary program edits and adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
• Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Work closely with engineers and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.

CNC Swiss Machinist (1st & 3rdshift)

Shift Hours (includes 20 min paid lunch; Monday-Friday workweek)

1st shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

3rd shift:10:00 pm – 6:00 am

"We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role, inclusive of shift differential, is $25.00-$37.00/hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.”

Position Summary:

The Swiss CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Swiss-style CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. • 2+ years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including two years minimum of Swiss CNC experience REQUIRED
• Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and experience working with small precision parts to close tolerances required.
