Overview
This is a full-time on-site role for a Swiss Machinist at Oakdale Precision, Inc. The Swiss Machinist will be responsible for operating Swiss machines, producing high-quality parts, and ensuring product quality and performance. The role will also involve working on medium to large production runs and custom builds.
Shifts
- 1st Shift is from 7AM to 3PM Monday thru Friday
- 2nd shift is from 3PM to 1AM Monday thru Thursday
Responsibilities
- Operate Swiss machines to produce high-quality parts
- Produce parts on medium to large production runs and custom builds
- Ensure product quality and performance meets specifications
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Maintain attention to detail and quality orientation
Qualifications
- Experience in operating swiss machines
- Proficiency in swiss setup and operation
- Knowledge of machining tools, materials, and processes
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and quality orientation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Swiss programming experience with Partmaker, GibbsCAM or similar software is a plus
Education/Experience
Requires a high school diploma and a relevant two year trade school diploma, and quality, fully involved job shadowing with an expert and/or previous work experience with a broad range of machines, materials, and machining practices, including process development, programming, and machining.
