Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a machinist to operate Swiss machines and manufacture Bilok fasteners. This role focuses on producing high volumes of a single part while meeting all quality requirements. Two shift options are available: 3:00am–1:30pm or 1:00pm–11:30pm, five days per week.

The Machinist will report to the Manufacturing Manager and collaborate with team members to maintain efficiency and quality. Ideal candidates will read mechanical drawings, work with tenth tolerances, and use

Qualifications

• Reading mechanical drawings and tolerances.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Working with tenth tolerances.
• Capable of reading mechanical drawings.
• Familiar with a variety of measuring instruments. Micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.
• Demonstrated oral communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Machine Shop Trade School or Apprenticeship or Equivalent experience
• Knowledge of general machining processes using a wide variety of machine tools
• Experience working with Swiss machines not required but useful.
• Understanding of CNC type machines and the processes they use, such as set-ups, monitoring, change-outs, etc.
• Know how to maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Blueprint reading and basic math skills
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
• Basic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret work instructions
