Job summary

Vander-Bend Manufacturing is seeking a Swiss Machinist to join their team. Candidates should have at least two years of CNC experience and strong attention to detail. This is a full-time position with shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM or 3:30 PM to 11 PM.

Swiss Machinist

Full-time / Permanent

Hourly

1st and 2nd shift either and working 7 AM to 330PM or 330PM to 11PM

  • We are not currently working with third party agencies on this role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.
  • Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and specifications.
  • Maintain logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
  • Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Follow ISO 9001/ISO 13845 ANSI/AAMI/ISO standards.
  • Skills consistent with the Operator I Progression Matrix as defined in QAS-061.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Skills

  • Swiss CNC: 2 years
  • Familiar with ISO requirements a plus
  • Familiarity with blueprints and other technical documents.
  • Fundamental math skills.
  • Fundamental computer skills.
  • Experience with the selection and use of the measuring tools required to inspect product
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and refine processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
