Qualifications

• Foundational CNC machining experience or relevant training.
• Exposure to Swiss-style CNC turning equipment is helpful.
• Basic blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop setup, tooling, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to assist with setups and follow established machining procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC turning equipment to produce precision components.
• Install cutting tools, load bar stock, and prepare machines for production.
• Read engineering drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions.
• Establish and adjust tool offsets to maintain part dimensions and surface finish.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor tool wear and identify machining or quality concerns.
• Make minor program edits appropriate to your experience level.
• Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues, seeking support when needed.
• Maintain production and inspection records.
• Follow safety procedures and perform routine machine cleaning and care.
