Ajinomoto Foods North America is seeking a swing-shift Production Lead to supervise a production line, ensure schedules and GMPs are followed, and coach a diverse team. The role is on-site in Portland, OR, with a schedule of Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays starting in the late afternoon.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year machine operation experience in manufacturing.
• 6+ months leadership experience.
• Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership and training ability.
• Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety preferred.

Responsabilités

• Set up equipment and perform make-ready tasks before production.
• Supervise production team to meet quality, sanitation, safety and schedule standards.
• Assign and monitor work, and respond to deviations to protect timelines.
• Maintain discipline and document warnings as needed.
• Prepare daily activity reports and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate blending of raw materials to meet formula and batch consistency.
• Monitor records to ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards.
• Track inventory levels to ensure materials are available for scheduled production.
• Schedule use of rework scrap to minimize waste.
• Provide training or coaching to employees as required.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and suggest improvements.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues and deviations from normal operations.
