Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. seeks a Production Lead for our Portland, OR facility. The swing-shift role supervises a production line to meet schedules and uphold safety and GMP standards.

Starting pay is $24.00/hour with a $0.50 shift differential. Benefits include health insurance from day one, employer-paid disability and life coverage, 401(k) with matching, generous vacation, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 6+ months leadership experience required.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to train, assign and monitor.
• HACCP and food safety concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and ensure make-ready tasks are completed before production.
• Oversee production team to meet quality, sanitation, safety and scheduling standards.
• Assign work, monitor progress and make task-related decisions.
• Maintain discipline and apply warnings as needed.
• Prepare daily activity reports and ensure accuracy.
• Monitor raw material blends and adjust moisture/texture to maintain consistency.
• Ensure records comply with procedures and monitor batch performance.
• Coordinate inventory and ensure materials are available for scheduled production.
• Train employees and evaluate performance for improvement.
• Follow all safety procedures and promote a positive team attitude.
