Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of increasingly responsible experience in custodial work.
• Knowledge of custodial methods, materials, equipment, and leadership/training principles.
• Ability to train and lead personnel; follow oral and written directions; work cooperatively with staff and instructors.
• Ability to keep simple records.
• License: valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Responsibilities

• Leads, inspects, and assists a crew of custodial personnel and students engaged in campus cleaning; directs safe use of materials and equipment.
• Moves and arranges furniture, equipment and supplies; maintains schedules and time records.
• Inspects buildings to ensure custodial methods and standards are followed and maintained; confers with manager regarding employees.
• Keeps simple records and helps evaluate cleaning products.
• Reports to Custodial Supervisor and leads night or day shift custodians and student workers.
