Job summary

USA Health Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama, seeks board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physicians to join the Hospitalist Medicine team for Swing Shift coverage. The role focuses on inpatient care with a plan to support high admission volumes and ongoing inpatient services growth.

The Swing Shift Hospitalist will work a 7 on/7 off schedule from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating hospitalized patients and serving as an admitting, attending, and/or

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited U.S. Internal Medicine residency required
• U.S. board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine required
• Eligible for medical licensure in Alabama required

Responsibilities

• Swing Shift Hospitalist schedule 7 on/7 off from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients as admitting, attending, or consulting physician.
• Manage approximately six to eight admissions per shift with emphasis on higher acuity.
• Contribute to quality, safety, and cost-effective patient care; participate in education and research as requested.
