Job summary

USA Health is recruiting a board-eligible or board-certified Internal Medicine hospitalist to join the Providence Hospital team in Mobile, Alabama. This swing shift position operates on a 7 on/7 off cycle from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM, evaluating and treating hospitalized patients as admitting, attending, or consulting physicians.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree required.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited U.S. Internal Medicine residency required.
U.S. board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine required.
Eligible for Alabama medical licensure required.
Commitment to high quality, collaborative inpatient care required.
Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

Join Hospitalist Medicine team on swing shift at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL.
Evaluate, diagnose and treat hospitalized patients as admitting/attending/consulting physician.
Manage approximately six to eight admissions per shift with higher acuity cases.
Assist with overnight call coverage for inpatient services as needed.
Contribute to quality, safety and cost-effective patient care and documentation.
