Job summary

AGC Heat Transfer is seeking an Assembly Associate I - Swing shift in Fairview, OR to support production of sanitary plate heat exchangers. This full-time, non-exempt role involves material handling, operating ovens and leak testers, and assembling plate packs.

You will work on a diverse team, follow safety and 5S practices, and contribute to meeting timelines while maintaining quality. Wage is $20-$22/hour with a 10% swing differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Basic addition and subtraction/Reading and writing skills.
• Ability to follow directions and focus on completing tasks.
• Must be willing to work on a wide range of tasks.
• Wear all appropriate PPE.
• Ability to follow safety rules and the 5s principles of a work environment.
• Ability to do repetitive work including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods of time.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Material handling (using overhead crane, hoists, forklift, pallet jack and electric pallet jack).
• Assist in operating industrial oven and leak testing equipment.
• Pull plastic off of newly manufactured plates.
• Work safely with tools to complete daily tasks.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Keep work areas clean by sweeping or mopping where needed.
• Assist in using mag drill to manually port plates as needed.
• Comprehension of basic written instructions.
• Assist in applying rubber gaskets to new and customer’s plates.
• Accurately counting and recording parts and equipment.
• Prepare plate packs/gaskets for shipping.
• Build pallets as required.
• Assist with logging-in and pressure washing used plates for CTR.
• Other duties as assigned.
