AGC Heat Transfer, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Associate I – Swing shift in Fairview, Oregon. The role involves material handling, operating ovens and leak testing equipment, and assembling plate heat exchangers.

You will count parts, prepare packs, and assist with shipping while maintaining safety and quality standards. Requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; PPE and 5S safety principles must be followed.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Wage: $20–$22 per hour with 10% differential for swing shift

AGC Heat Transfer, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alfa Laval, AB, is the leading OEM of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, manufacturing plate heat exchangers specifically designed for sanitary applications. AGC offers complete heat exchangers, services as well as upgrades to plate packs, gaskets and spares that fit multiple brands. In addition, AGC offers Field Leak Testing and inspections of plate heat exchangers that meet the 3‑A sanitary standard. AGC Heat Transfer consists of three manufacturing/service facilities (Bristow, VA, Fairview, OR & Pleasant Prairie, WI) with about 140 employees (85 OR / 20 VA / 35 other locations). Currently, most of the sales are in the US & Canada. AGC Heat Transfer has a strong engineering culture with a heavy emphasis on customer service and technical/consultative sales.

Job Description

As an Assembly Associate I, the employee will perform a wide range of tasks. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Position Responsibilities

• Material handling using overhead crane, hoists, forklift, pallet jack and electric pallet jack
• Assist in operating industrial oven and leak testing equipment
• Pull plastic off of newly manufactured plates
• Work safely with tools to complete daily tasks
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Keep work areas clean by sweeping or mopping where needed
• Assist in using mag drill to manually port plates as needed
• Comprehend basic written instructions
• Assist in applying rubber gaskets to new and customer plates
• Accurately count and record parts and equipment
• Prepare plate packs/gaskets for shipping
• Build pallets as required
• Assist with logging in and pressure washing used plates for CTR
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic addition, subtraction, reading and writing skills
• Ability to follow directions and focus on completing tasks
• Must be willing to work on a wide range of tasks
• Wear all appropriate PPE
• Ability to follow safety rules and the 5S principles of a work environment
• Ability to do repetitive work including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods of time
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs
