Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking an Animal Research Coordinator to support our government customer in San Antonio, TX. This role involves developing and maintaining regulatory documents, coordinating IACUC submissions, and managing multiple studies with the PI/Director.

Responsibilities include conducting swine research procedures, training staff, budgeting, and ensuring data integrity. A bachelor's in biological sciences and AALAS certification are highly desired; US citizenship and

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of immunization per DHA guidelines.
• Experience in clinical research.
• Hands-on swine experience.
• AALAS accreditation training completed and maintained.
• GCP training completed, with practical application.
• Willing to sign a NDA.

Responsibilities

• Ensure protocols, schedules, and regulatory documentation are developed, submitted, and maintained per guidelines.
• Assist with protocol writing, study source document preparation, and IACUC submissions.
• Coordinate multiple projects and communicate with Supervisors to schedule study activities.
• Document regulatory, research, and administrative actions to ensure study compliance.
• Confer with investigators on experimental design and participant procedures.
• Execute animal research studies and advanced clinical procedures in swine models.
• Perform specialized surgical/clinical procedures on swine models.
• Administer treatments via infusion pumps, IV catheters, or central lines.
• Provide training to lab personnel on techniques and equipment.
• Maintain data integrity, organize research information, and disseminate findings.
• QC study source documents and large research databases for data accuracy.
• Organize research information and data collection workflows.
• Assist with abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and presentation graphics.
