The role includes staff oversight, coordination with veterinarians, and promoting humane husbandry practices in rural facilities. A valid driver’s license and cell phone stipend are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of livestock production experience with some college or technical schooling preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency preferred.
• Able to work with a variety of personalities and live animals.
• A qualifying insurable driver's license must be maintained to drive on behalf of the company.
• The company provided vehicle is for business purposes only. A personal cell phone is required with a monthly reimbursement stipend set by the company.

Responsibilities

• Directs and participates in execution of protocols for grow-finish management including sorting, feeding, health treatments, ventilation, and pig monitoring.
• Monitors pig performance and approves health/feeding plan adjustments to meet pig flow.
• Maintains communication with veterinarians and assists in herd health protocols and diagnostics.
• Oversees staff and contract growers, identifying training and development needs.
• Ensures timely reporting of inventories, pig movements, and related metrics for financial/operational analysis.
