Qualifications

• Reliability and a strong work ethic, prepared to perform daily tasks with precision.
• Physical readiness to handle demanding barn work.
• Ability to follow established SOPs and protocols in feeding, breeding, and sanitation.
• Willingness to learn and grow within livestock production through hands-on training.
• Strong teamwork and communication to support a safe work environment.
• Commitment to biosecurity measures and animal welfare policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide feed and water to animals daily to maintain health and nutrition.
• Heat checking and breeding sows in heat per schedule; perform gilt heat induction per protocols.
• Process piglets: castration, tail docking, iron/antibiotics administration.
• Assist with farrowing and litter care; ensure piglet warmth.
• Monitor sows and litters daily; identify health issues and provide treatments.
• Maintain sanitation, cleaning, disinfecting, pit draining, animal movements, and accurate records while following safety protocols.
