Job summary

Fourth Floor, a notable swimwear company, seeks Swimwear Designers with deep experience from concept through production in Orange County, CA. You will help develop seasonal collections, identify trends, and create commercially viable assortments that honor brand vision.

Collaborate with Product Development, Technical Design, Merchandising and Sourcing to resolve fit, construction and costing challenges while reviewing prototypes, fittings and samples throughout the process.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of swimwear design experience required.
• Strong knowledge of swimwear construction, fit, fabrications, and product development.
• Ability to identify trends and translate them into commercially successful products.
• Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills.
• Strong presentation, communication, and merchandising skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop seasonal swimwear collections for a mass retail customer base.
• Research and identify fashion trends, market opportunities, and consumer insights.
• Create innovative swimwear concepts, silhouettes, prints, and color stories.
• Build and merchandise assortments that support business and customer needs.
• Partner with Product Development and Technical Design to resolve fit, construction, and costing challenges.
• Review prototypes, fittings, and samples throughout the development process.
• Collaborate with Textile Design, 3D Design, Merchandising, and Sourcing teams.
