Job summary

SAME is a Los Angeles-based luxury fashion label seeking a Senior Swimwear & Resort Designer to own the day-to-day design and development of Swimwear and Resort collections. This role works closely with the Founder & Creative Director and RTW Design Director to deliver refined, high-quality product.

You will manage concept through production handoff, balance design with fit knowledge, and ensure samples meet brand standards and commercial goals.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of women’s Swimwear and/or Resort design experience in luxury or contemporary market.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating swimwear expertise, proportion, fabrication, color, print, and silhouette.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing women's swimwear with resort/lifestyle product focus.
• Expert knowledge of swimwear construction, fit, stretch fabrics, linings, elastics, trims, and hardware.
• Advanced proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD development, and tech packs.
• Proven experience working with domestic and international factories through development and production handoff.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple styles, vendors, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design seasonal Swimwear and Resort collections from concept through final product.
• Create sketches, CADs, technical flats, colorways, prints, and presentation materials.
• Develop color palettes, fabric direction, prints, trims, hardware, lining, and finishing details.
• Build balanced assortments across bikinis, one-pieces, cover-ups, dresses, sets, and more.
• Own the development calendar and ensure production-ready approvals on schedule.
