Job Description Summary

The primary focus of the Pool Attendant position will include setting up pool seating and umbrellas, removing trash and other items from the pool area, and folding and stocking fresh towels. Customer service skills are important in this role, as you will also serve a limited menu of food and beverages to guest. Applicants should have some hospitality experience and must be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions, including high heat and humidity.

Job Description

Essential Job Duties:

  • Set up pool seating and umbrellas.

  • Remove used towels and trash from pool area.

  • Fold and stock fresh towels and hand out fresh towels to guest

  • Take food and beverage orders.

  • Ensure guest follow the rules and safety guidelines.

  • Other functions as assigned.

Competencies:

  • Customer Service Skills

  • Hospitality experience (preferred)

  • Comfortable working outside in high heat and humidity

  • Current CPR certification

  • Strong interpersonal communications skills

IMPORTANT EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of related experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional outdoor environment. This role routinely requires good customer service skills and the ability to the proper equipment to complete daily task.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time. Demonstrates the ability to exert up to 15 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
