Job summary

Shaw JCC in Akron, OH, is seeking a Swim Team Head Coach for the summer season. The role focuses on leading the youth swim team, developing competitive skills, and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship in a positive, safe environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, has competitive swimming knowledge, and holds lifeguarding and CPR certifications. Coaching certifications and Meet Manager experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification is required.
• American Red Cross CPR Certification for the professional rescuer is required.
• Water Safety Instructor Certification preferred.
• Coaching certifications/experience preferred.
• Familiar with Meet Manager Software.
• Prior swim coaching/competitive swimming experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to positively engage with youth athletes and families.
