Qualifications

• At least 1 year of swim team experience preferred.
• USA Coaching Certification preferred.
• Ability to teach proper competitive swimming techniques.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sound competitive swimming skills and the ability to teach these skills in a positive healthy manner.
• Knowledge of basic exercise.
• Knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides competitive swimming instruction to swim team members in Novice to Age group swimming groups.
• Organizes and conducts team workouts.
• Works effectively with other coaches as assigned.
• Provides motivation, support and guidance.
• Works hand in hand with the Head Coach.
• Attends swim meets and swim team functions agreed upon with the Head Coach.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is usually fast paced. This job requires high energy and interaction with swimmers and their parents,other agencystaff and members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing thedutiesof thisjob, the employee is regularly required to use hands tofinger,handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is oftenrequired to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
