Job summary

The Shaw JCC seeks an enthusiastic Swim Team Head Coach to lead and organize our youth swim team during the summer season. The coach will develop swimmers’ competitive skills while fostering teamwork, discipline, and strong sportsmanship.

The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, experienced in competitive swimming techniques, and committed to creating a positive and safe team environment for young athletes.

Qualifications

• Certifications required to supervise youth swimming programs and ensure safety.
• Leadership and communication skills for working with families and athletes.
• Experience with coaching and leading youth through summer swim activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize Shaw JCC's youth swim team during the summer season.
• Develop swimmers' competitive skills and team culture.
• Foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship in a positive environment.
• Ensure safety and supervision during practices and meets.
• Mentor youth athletes and communicate progress to families.
