Job summary

Life Time is hiring an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to support our swim team members in fast-paced, state-of-the-art pools, indoors and outdoors.

You will assist the Head Swim Team Coach with group workouts, help register participants, and maintain clean, organized aquatics facilities while delivering high-quality coaching and safety.

The role requires 1 year coaching experience, ASCA/USA Swimming membership, and lifeguard certification with current CPR/First Aid per Life Time standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of swim coaching experience.
• Member of ASCA.
• Member of USA Swimming.
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach, you must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and head Swim Team Group Workouts. You will help the Head Swim Team Coach register new participants for the Team and maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
