Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to support our swim team in state-of-the-art facilities, indoors and outdoors. You will assist the Head Swim Team Coach in planning and leading group workouts and help recruit new participants for the team.

The role requires at least 1 year of coaching experience, ASCA/USA Swimming membership, and Lifeguard and Life Time Swim Instructor certifications. Must be able to swim 25 yards and lift up to 20 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of swim coaching experience.
• Member of ASCA or USA Swimming is preferred.
• Completion and passing of Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Ability to stand or walk around the club for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Offer swimmers opportunities to master technique.
• Run daily practices under the head coach.

You will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and head Swim Team Group Workouts. You will help the Head Swim Team Coach register new participants for the Team and maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

• Promotes all Life Time products, services and programs

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
