Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to support a fast-paced swim environment at our Cary, NC facility.

You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to craft and lead group workouts, register new participants, and ensure the aquatics area remains clean and well-organized. The role requires one year of swim coaching, ASCA/USA Swimming membership, Lifeguard certification, and Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of swim coaching experience preferred.
• Member of ASCA and USA Swimming beneficial.
• Complete Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Ability to work stationary and move around the club as needed.
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs repeatedly.

You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and head Swim Team Group Workouts. Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
