Job summary

YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the Swim Team Head Coach in planning and implementing daily practices. You will provide positive, safe, and age-appropriate instruction to swimmers of varying skill levels while promoting teamwork and the YMCA core values.

Responsibilities include assisting with meets, warm-ups, timing, and on-deck coaching, plus maintaining a supportive environment for all participants.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and leadership skills with youth and families.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Must be able to become USA Swimming certified.
