The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta invites you to join our team as a Swim Team Assistant Coach. Under the Head Coach, you will help implement competitive or recreational swimming programs following YMCA guidelines and philosophy, teaching swimmers across the season and during clinics.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include strong communication, teaching, and coaching abilities.
• Leadership qualities and professional image are expected.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups in the community.
• YMCA Leader certification preferred (within 1st 90 days).
• Background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record required.

Responsibilities

• Teach all groups by following a plan developed by the Head Coach.
• Provide feedback on individual goals and team performance.
• Support recruitment, parent and swimmer communication, and roster planning.
• Assist with community involvement, fundraising, and events.
• Maintain records of achievements and progress; attend meetings.
• Represent the YMCA at meets and community events; ensure safety at all times.
